Awards
Internal audit and inspection provides a vital check on procedures, systems and effectiveness. External audit by specialist Organisations and Safety Authorities provides independent evaluation and has led to Geoservices' North Sea District achieving International "Five Star" status. Consistent team effort and commitment to best practice led to this District being awarded the coveted "Sword of Honour" for the eleventh consecutive year in 2003, a world record for consecutive awards. "Truly world class best practice and, as a result of your commitment and skill, you have seen increases in productivity and profitability" (British Safety Council). Geoservices' Mud Logging division in Australia became the first contractor to win a Platinum Award for achieving 200,000 hours without a recordable
case (LTI or MTI incident). This was awarded by Santos in Adelaide in late 2001.
Reputation
"Simply reflects the standing of the corporation in the eyes of its customers, employees, suppliers, regulators, competitors and owners and those who have an interest in all areas affected by its operations" (Sir Neville Purvis). Geoservices is justifiably proud of its own reputation and record. "Our Clients realise we have an excellent safety record which provides them with that essential comfort factor" (Steve Davidge - North Sea District Manager).
HSE Procedures
Geoservices' own format of District HSE Plan is used throughout our fifty plus countries of activity. This ensures that the highest practical standards are adopted and our local expertise is shared, including the benefits of a wide range of HSE challenges. Close communication is the priority for success in Safety, Environmental and Quality Management. A simple, yet highly effective Emergency Response Procedure (thanks to Total for "Total Recall" guidance) is included as an integral element of our District HSE Plans.
