Geoservices is an upstream oilfield service company founded in 1958. It provides a range of skills that help evaluate hydrocarbon reservoirs and optimize field exploration, development and production.
- Turnover 2009, USD 491 million
- Over 5 000 employees in 52 countries
- World N° 1 in Mud Logging
- World N° 2 in Well Intervention
Our mission is to lead our market segments by introducing technological breakthroughs and pushing operational excellence.
Our focus is on Mud Logging, Well Intervention and Field Surveillance.
Mud Logging
Mobile high-tech laboratory (1 per rig) run by a crew of 4 people (2 qualified engineers) providing geological and drilling surveillance. Information given is twofold:
- Drilling Support: (depth, drilling speed, vibrations, early kick detection…) to enhance safety and optimise drilling efficiency.
- Formation Evaluation: (analysis of rock cuttings, gas in the mud…) to provide a log of the lithology and hydrocarbons encountered while drilling.
Well Intervention (slickline)
Downhole operations using light mobile winch units to run specialized tools on wire for production and reservoir information during the development/mature phases of the field.
- Slickline Conveyance: light or heavy mechanical wireline operations.
- Measurement & Diagnostics: reservoir monitoring and downhole data acquisition.
- Remediation of Wells: replacement of faulty equipment, scraping, perforation, etc.
Field Surveillance
Surface operations to inform production and reservoir engineers during the mature phase of production.
- Operations & Maintenance: providing ad-hoc staff and procedures for the operation and maintenance of surface installations (process, mechanical, instrumentation…)
- Equipment Sales: patented Geoservices inventions such as the GEM-Valve are available for purchase.
- Services Solutions: We provide solutions for the determination of well production rates for reservoir monitoring and well performance.
- International Oil Companies
- National Oil Companies
- Regional or multi-regional players
